Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. presented with Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 2009 U.S. Open Beer Championships!

The U.S. Open Beer Championships competition is open to more than 1,000 breweries from 30 countries and Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. was one of only fourteen breweries recognized with two or more medals.

Fritz Rahr says, "We’re particularly honored that our Blind Salamander was awarded the Gold Medal for English Style Pale Ale because the competition was stellar – two well-known breweries from England took Silver and Bronze in this category. Ugly Pug took the Silver Medal for Schwarzbier. And, finally, Rahr's Blonde Lager won Bronze for Munchner Helles. Big ol’ pat on the back to the entire brewing team!"
